About the Headmaster

Mr Francis Dominic Kudolo, the seventh substantive Headmaster of the College has been at the helm of the affairs of the College since the year 2019. An experienced school administrator for several years before his assumption of the headship of the College, Mr. Kudolo has demonstrated competence in school leadership, stakeholder engagement, staff and student discipline and academic excellence. Mr Kudolo who is an avid believer in team building and work has shown firm commitment to holistic development of students and the creation of a safe space for the staff and students. He has so far blended seamlessly his administrative acumen, instructional leadership and human relations skills to steer the affairs of the College. To enable him provide clear direction for the College, he has led in the development of a renewed mission, vision and core values of the College in consultation with stakeholders.

Mr Kudolo has displayed important values in inclusiveness, tolerance, motivation and delegation. Under his leadership of the College since 2019, the College has chalked significant successes in key areas. By prioritising teaching and learning as the core business of the College, Mr Kudolo has ensured that the College remains the most competitive one in the Volta Region and the nation as a whole. A Mathematics teacher par excellence, he has ensured that teachers adopt cutting edge pedagogical approaches, 21st century skills and data-led decision making to inform teaching and learning. Under his authority, the College recorded 626 A1’s in Core Mathematics out of the 710 candidates in the 2022 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination.

Mr Kudolo, a disciplinarian himself, has built a school culture that thrives on discipline, respect, obedience, integrity, inclusiveness, responsibility, team work and camaraderie. He ensures that stakeholders including learners, staff, alumni and parents feel loved and valued by promoting open communication and inclusive decision making. A firm advocate of digital integration in teaching and learning, he has consistently encouraged the staff to build their capacity in digital integration in teaching and learning. He also uses his influence to lobby for resources including desktop computers and accessories for the College. As a strategic leader, Mr Kudolo has tirelessly spearheaded lobbying for critical infrastructure in the College. He has engaged important stakeholders including the Bishop of the Ho Diocese of the Catholic Church, traditional leaders of the Akpini State, Alumni and education authorities in order to address the infrastructural needs of the College. His lobbying skills continue to yield some fruits as work on some abandoned projects in the College has resumed. As well as classroom activities, he also encourages the holistic development of the students through the promotion of sports and games, debates and quiz competitions in the College. His avowed commitment to talent identification and development has unraveled some talents for some national teams while others ply their trade abroad.

With foresight and effective leadership, Mr. Francis Kudolo, continues to inspire in the staff and the students the culture of excellence despite the challenging contexts of the school. With the support of his management team, the Board of Governors, BHOBU, PTA, staff and students, he continues to lay a strong foundation for the College to reflect a 21st century secondary school. He stands out as a transformational leader who blends discipline with empathy, humanity, culture, ingenuity, values, vision and deeds.
