The Business School at Bishop Herman College is one of the most results-oriented departments, consistently excelling in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Led by a dynamic Head of Department and a committed team of 11 subject-specific teachers, each capable of handling multiple disciplines, the department offers major electives in Business Management, Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting, Economics, ICT, Mathematics and French. The department has students’ enrolment of over 500.
To enrich classroom learning, the department organizes field trips that give students practical exposure to the business world. It has also distinguished itself in both regional and national Business and Investment quizzes, proudly winning regional championships and representing the Volta Region at the national level.
Mr. Simon Kwami Dumehasi

Mr. Simon Kwami Dumehasi is a distinguished educator and visionary leader, currently serving as the Head of the Business School at Bishop Herman College. With over two decades of dedicated service in teaching, leadership, and mentorship, he has become a driving force in shaping business education at one of Ghana’s premier second-cycle institutions, Bishop Herman College.
Under his leadership, the Business Department has maintained its enviable reputation as one of the most results-oriented in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). His commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and practical learning has positioned the department as a hub for nurturing the next generation of business leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals.
Mr. Dumehasi is passionate about bridging theory and practice. He has spearheaded initiatives such as industry-based field trips, research projects, and participation in regional and national Business and Investment quizzes, where Bishop Herman College has consistently excelled and represented the Volta Region at the highest level.
