About the Office

The Office of the Assistant Headmaster (Academic) is the central hub for all academic activities in the college. It is committed to ensuring quality teaching, effective learning, and high academic standards. The office works hand in hand with staff, students, and Heads of Department to create an environment where academic excellence thrives. The office is currently occupied by a dynamic, energetic and forward-looking individual in the person of Ebenezer Kodzo Hlormenu who holds a Master of Arts Degree in Distance Education and E-learning from the University of Ghana. He has a twenty-six years’ experience as a teacher. He entered this office in April 2022 and has since been instrumental in propelling the entire academic activities of the college to higher heights as featured in the monumental achievements of the college in recent years.

Structure and Leadership
The Assistant Headmaster (Academic) works closely with the Headmaster, two other Assistant Heads, Heads of Departments, the teaching staff and student leadership to maintain discipline, uphold academic integrity, and achieve the college’s educational goals.

Mandate- To promote and sustain quality academic delivery through effective supervision, coordination, and support of teaching and learning.

Core Focus
To build a strong academic foundation that prepares students for excellence in examinations, higher education, and future careers.

Core Responsibilities

The office oversees and coordinates all academic programmes and learning activities. Its major duties include:

Timetabling – Preparing and managing the academic timetable for the smooth running of lessons.

Class and Prep Supervision – Monitoring both classroom lessons and supervised study periods.

Examination Supervision – Coordinating internal and external examinations to ensure credibility and discipline.

Academic Programme Oversight – Supervising and evaluating learning areas across departments.

Coordination of HODs – Providing leadership, direction, and support to all Heads of Departments.
